There is information distributed in the network, allegedly on June 5, that the russian air defense system shot down a Ukrainian An-26 aircraft with a shipment of weapons and military equipment. The publications refer to the messages of the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation.

However, this is a fake. There is no evidence that the plane was shot down, russia has no opportunity to shoot down the plane in the Odesa region.

The information about the downing of the Ukrainian plane was denied by the spokesman of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Serhii Bratchuk. The information was also denied by the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There is no evidence that the An-26 was shot down.

Earlier, the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, Vadym Skibitskyi, on the air of the national marathon, reported that the russians had brought anti-aircraft systems to Zmiiny Island, which is 130 km from Odesa. These are the closest russian air defense systems that could shoot down Ukrainian planes in the Odesa region. However, the range of action of the “Pantsir-S1” complex is up to 20 km , and “Tor” – up to 15 km .

In addition, the message of the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation states that the russians destroyed the deployment point of foreign mercenaries in the Dachny region of the Odesa region as a result of a missile attack. According to Serhiy Bratchuk, no shelling was recorded in the city and region on June 5.

Earlier, we already refuted a similar fake about the downing of a plane with weapons from Western partners over Odesa.
