Debunking fakes in partnership with Facebook.

According to the information spread on social media, a Ukrainian lawmaker Rustem Umerov, a member of the Ukrainian delegation in the talks with Russia, was allegedly poisoned in Kyiv. It is written that he survived, but there are “other victims”.

This information was spread by the Russian media “Agentstvo” (“Agency”). They wrote that it was committed not with a Russian Novichok nerve agent.

This is a fake: Rustem Umerov denied information about the poisoning.

On his Facebook page, the lawmaker Umerov wrote: “Commenting in advance on the links of dubious “media”: I’m fine… Please, do not trust unverified sources of information. The infowar in our country continues actively.”
