Technology is making great strides, including the artificial intelligence, programming, robotics etc. An important issue to consider is that in critical situations, if human casualties are inevitable, it will be up to the machine to decide who dies and who does not. The machine will thus decide on the life and death of human beings. When we enable an algorithm to assess and compare the value of life of different individuals, we face the possibility that, in principle, algorithms might able to destroy us.
