Debunking fakes in partnership with Facebook

According to the information spread on the social media, the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly mined ammonia warehouses in Severodonetsk because they want to blow them up and accuse the so-called “LPR” of provocation. It is noteworthy that this was reported in the “People’s Militia of the People’s Republic of Lugansk”.

This is a fake. There are no chemicals at “Azot” plant in Severodonetsk: ammonia was completely processed there and ammonia warehouse Is empty.

“Azot” is part of the “Group DF holding”. It was reported there that now “Severodonetsk” Azot”does not pose any danger to residents of the city and region. With the beginning of the full-scale warfare the plant completely stopped production: all key shops stopped, the plant stopped producing fertilizers. Residues of finished products (fertilizers) and chemicals were completely removed from the plant outside Luhansk region.

“The security service and technical service of the plant conducted a full additional inspection of all production facilities and warehouses of the company for the presence of hazardous chemicals – such substances are absent in the company,” said in a statement.

This fake was also debunked by the Center for Counteracting Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. And they warned that the occupiers could prepare sabotage at the enterprise.
