The photos circulated online allegedly show the consequences of the explosion in Moscow on April 28, 2022. Posts are illustrated with two versions of the photo.

However, this is not true. A reverse search of the photo shows that both photos were not taken on April 28, 2022.

A reverse search on Google and TinEye shows that the first photo used as illustrations for the posts appeared online at least in 2013. It most likely depicted explosions in Syria in 2013. However, it is well known that this is not a photo from Moscow in April 2022.

A reverse Google search for the second photo shows that the photo appeared online back in 2009. It is the explosion of a gas pipeline in Moscow on Ozernaya Street in 2009. It is not connected with the events in 2022.

On April 28, the media reported a fire in Moscow, but the photos used as illustrations for the posts were not taken there.
