Debunking fakes in partnership with Facebook
According to the information spread on the Internet, the video of President Zelensky’s visit to the hospital with wounded soldiers on March 13, 2022 is allegedly staged. As alleged proof, the authors of the posts on Facebook claim that they noticed Inna Derusova, a doctor who died on February 26. They also add that Zelensky left the country a long time ago.

However, the president was not accompanied by Inna Derusova but by Tetiana Ostashchenko, the Commander of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This fake has already been debunked by independent foreign fact checkers from Open.online.
Inna Derusova, a combat medic, actually died on February 26 in Okhtyrka (Sumy region) from Russian shelling.

However, it was not Inna Derusova who took part in the video filmed on March 13 about Zelensky’s visit to the hospital.

First, the woman in the video is different in appearance from Inna Derusova. Secondly, if we look at the photo, we can see that her surname is Ostashchenko on the military uniform. Tetiana Ostashchenko now works as the Commander of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

VoxCheck previously debunked the fake that Zelensky fled Ukraine after the russian invasion. In fact, there is no evidence that the president left Kyiv.
