According to the information spread on the Internet, Ukrainian farmers allegedly captured a Russian military plane.

However, this is not true. In the English-language segment of Facebook, such posts were spread as reliable information. But they have already been debunked by independent fact-checkers from Snopes, USA Today, AFP, and Check Your Fact. In the Ukrainian segment, these posts are spread mainly as satire, but there were cases when these posts were presented as true information, not a joke.

A reverse search of the photo in Bing and TinEye shows that this photo appeared online much earlier than in 2022. In fact, the photo was taken in Croatia in 2011. At the time, an exhibition dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Croatian Armed Forces was held in the Jarun district of Zagreb. The tractor was transporting a MiG-21 aircraft to the exhibition.
