Verification within Meta’s Third-Party Fact-Checking Program 

Photos of the allegedly blown up bridge near Melitopol in May 2022 are being spread in network. However, the photos used in the posts are not related to the events of 2022.

Google reverse image search shows that it appeared online in 2014. Unknown people blew up the railway bridge in Mariupol on December 23, 2014, this is the event depicted on the photos that are being distributed now.

On April 28, 2022, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that a group of the Resistance Movement of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had blown up a bridge from the occupied Crimea to Melitopol.
