What the Single Treasury Account Represents, Or Did Arseniy Yatsenuyk Lie?

On March 9 the fact-checking project VoxCheck published its check of Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s words about the state of public finance at the beginning of his premiership in 2014. Speaking live on a TV channel, the politician stated that after becoming head of the government he had been faced with a shortage of funds in the treasury. “The amount in the treasury account of the State was 108,000 hryvnias. That was even less than one kopeck per citizen of Ukraine,” Yatsenyuk said.
