Agnieszka Piasecka Independent Expert

Agnieszka Piasecka has 10 years of experience in development projects in Ukraine. For the past 5 years, she has collaborated with the “Firefighters” Program, currently implemented by the International Solidarity Foundation (ISF), aimed at developing volunteer fire protection and civil defense. Link: https://vognebortsi.in.ua. She is a member of working groups focused on improving the legal environment. Previously, she worked with ULEAD with Europe on public order and safety. Her main areas of expertise include implementing a risk-oriented approach to civil protection and spatial planning and urban development.

Earlier, she was responsible for a lustration support program in Ukraine for an NGO. Her work from this period is cited as a source in leading academic research on states in transition.

She holds a master’s degree in National Security from the Academy of War Art in Poland and a bachelor’s in International Relations from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (SWPS).
