Since 2021, Mykola Miahkyi has served as the Director of Strategy for the Ukrainian IT company SoftServe. Previously, as a client engagement manager at McKinsey & Company, he was involved in strategy development, operations, and organizational transformation projects in the banking, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, and mining and metals sectors.

Before moving to the private sector, he worked at the EBRD, covering economic and political developments. In the summer of 2016, he interned at the Ministry of Finance of Albania, helping establish a fiscal policy analysis unit and conducting credit market diagnostics.

He earned his Ph.D. from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 2011. His research interests include banking, policy and reform analysis, and global and local macroeconomic forecasting. He is a contributor to Vox Ukraine.

He completed a master’s program at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
