Veronika Movchan Academic Director at the Center for Economic Research and Policy Consulting

Veronika Movchan is the Academic Director at the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER) and a member of the Editorial Board of Vox Ukraine.

Veronika specializes in trade policy analysis, regional integration, non-tariff trade regulation measures and their quantitative assessment, as well as modeling economic policy changes, particularly CGE modeling. She previously worked on analyzing the impact of establishing the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) with the EU. 

She completed internships at Stanford University (USA) and the German Institute for Economic Research in Berlin (DIW-Berlin), Germany. She has also worked at the Harvard Institute for International Development (Kyiv) and the World Bank Mission in Kyiv.

Movchan graduated from the Ph.D. program at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, specializing in Economic-Mathematical Modeling.
