Yuliia Markuts Head of the Center for Public Finance and Governance Analysis at the Kyiv School of Economics
Yuliia is the Head of the Center for Public Finance and Governance Analysis at the Kyiv School of Economics, focusing on research and analysis in public finance.
She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Finance at the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. She teaches courses in budget planning and forecasting, budget systems, and public financial strategy. Yuliia is the author of over 20 academic publications in Ukraine and abroad, including in journals indexed in international scientific databases, covering topics in public finance and local budgets.
She has seven years of experience working in local government as a head of a structural unit and analyst.
She participated in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in the United States on “The U.S. Economy Today: Financial Markets, Trade, and Economic Development” and completed training at the University of Warwick (Coventry, UK) in “Economic Growth.”
She has participated in international conferences, seminars, and workshops in Poland, Armenia, and Malta, and was a member of the Youth Council at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine (2016-2017).
