  • the macroeconomic issues of  monetary policy
  • the problem of the monetary policy instruments choise
  • macro- and microeconomic study of the monetary sector of economy
  • effective regulation of banking sector
  • bank credit and economic development
  • other issues

Deadline for submission of papers is March 26th, 2017.

Paper requirements

Your submission should be an original and unpublished work. We suggest focusing on one aspect and analyzing it, instead of exploring the whole banking sector or the issues of monetary policy in general. We prefer papers that create new knowledge, for example, by analyzing data, rather than papers that present abstract theoretical constructs. Papers that summarize the existing knowledge on a specific topic are also welcome as long as such summary leads to clear policy advice relevant to Ukraine.
Please see guidelines and paper requirements.

A Selection Committee of the NBU experts and KSE faculty members will select papers to be presented at the conference. At the end of the conference, the “Best Paper Award’ winners in two categories will be announced: student and young researches.

For participants from other cities:

  • travel expenses to/from Kyiv will be reimbursed (bus or train)
  • two nights in the hotel will be paid

The working languages of the conference are Ukrainian and English (translation will not be provided). You may submit a paper in any of these languages. The atmosphere of mututal respect at the conference should allow all researchers to benefit from all-round feedback independently if their level of command of English language. We want to emphasize that writing and presenting in English is not mandatory and will not influence the Selection Committee’s decision, but it is an opportunity for participants to gain valuable experience of presenting in the international economic conference format.

If you have ideas for a paper but are not sure whether they fit the conference theme, or you would like to receive feedback on how to improve your paper before formally submitting it, please send an email to the conference directors (see the contacts below).
