A screenshot of a video showing that Oleksii Reznikov, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, allegedly gave his daughter a house for 7 million euros in Cannes for her wedding, bought with the money of allies, is being distributed on the Internet.

However, this is a fake. The house shown in the video is actually still for sale.

The video was first published by a TikTok user under the nickname “vladyslavyashchenko1”. In the video, it is said that Reznikov’s daughter bought a house for 7 million euros in the city of Vallauris, which is near Cannes. The allegedly acquired house shown in the photo has a swimming pool, an elevator and 7 bedrooms. However, a reverse Google search showed that the house is actually still for sale, and is not worth 7, but almost 12 million euros.

In addition, there is no news about similar facts of embezzlement from Ukrainian investigators. For example, the Anti-Corruption Action Centre, Slidstvo.info, Bihus.info, “Schemes” (“Radio Liberty”) or other investigative journalists did not write about it.

Previously, VoxCheck refuted fake statements regarding the ranking of the richest Ukrainians, which allegedly included Oleksii Reznikov, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Dmytro Kuleba, Volodymyr Klychko and Mykhailo Podoliak.
